Ontario Museum |
Offering
assorted hands-on galleries, activities for
youngsters, and a multidisciplinary vocation,
the Royal Ontario Museum – or the ROM as
locals call it – truly offers new worlds to
explore. Dedicated to the histories of nature
and culture, the ROM is Canada’s biggest
museum and one of its most varied. One of the
musuem's highlights is the
collection of Chinese art including enormous
paintings, 800-year-old Buddhist sculptures,
carved figures, fine jade and war technology. |

Centre |
This
is the real jewel of Toronto’s waterfront,
located right at the southern tip of the city
and sprawling for several kilometers along the
water. The green parkland of grass and trees
is completely open to the public, free of
charge. This is also an area of the arts, with
The DuMaurier Theatre Centre, the Premiere
Dance Theatre) and other arts and crafts
establishments. Visitors to the Centre can
wander through the York Quay and watch
artisans fashion clay pots and glass
sculptures from fiery ovens and then take a
break by hitting one of the numerous
restaurants, cafes and bars here also. |

Science Centre |
Since
opening its doors in 1969, the Ontario Science
Centre has attracted more than 35 million
visitors from around the globe. Located just
10 minutes from downtown Toronto, the center
allows the entire family to experience more
than 800 exciting interactive exhibits in 13
exhibit halls. Topics include space, the human
body, time and the living Earth. |
